Looking for soothing rub..?
Earlier I posted a question about a hispanic rub someone told me about, maybe I need to clarify a bit more..
I had surgery over a year ago, I have hip displaysia and the surgeon went in and broke 3 bones around my hip and screwed them into the socket. I'm still in immense pain as the bones that were broken did not fuse back together and I'm now on a 7 month waiting list to get into the Mayo clinic so they can try to fix the damage that has been done.
For right now, it's nice to have a deep muscle massage I can use to sort of mask the pain as I have no other options at this point. I am on methadone, soma and oxycodone for my pain but at this point, they don't really do much.
I was speaking with a hispanic friend of mine who told me her mom has this petroleum based rub that has bee and snake venom in it and it's in a yellow container. Does ANYONE know what it's called so maybe I can try it out and see if it helps? I think I've built up a tolerance already to icy hot...
I don't know of the ointment you are speaking of, but if Icy-Hot has worked for you in the past, you should try this stuff called "Biofreeze". I bought some at a local chiropractors office or you could even eBay it. To me its 20 times stronger than icy-hot and really helped me when I was having horrible back pain last year.
